People always talk about positive points of
smartphone like, This smartphone clicks great selfies, This smartphone has
outstanding network response, This smartphone has sharp display etc. but no one
talks about its effect on brain.
If you were asked to go a day without smartphone, do
you think you could make it? Researchers around globe, who asked people asked
people to perform this task for terminating their excess use of smartphone,
even for 2 hours, it can be unimaginably hard for some teenagers.
If you go for a walk, you will find people talking
on phone, taking pictures of their meals, texting on WhatsApp etc. Greatest
invention of mankind has become an inseparable part of life, but still today’s
question is, Are smartphones really destroying our brain..?
Effects of Smartphones Over Understanding Ability
of Brain
Many of the researchers around the world warn that, smartphone usage does affect brain’s abilities. Radio-logical Society of North America found that, teenager’s longer usage of smartphone or tablet actually affects brain’s chemistry. Brain’s chemistry gets hampered due to strain of eyes by watching smartphone’s screen beyond the limit. Some of the researchers found that, the rays coming out of mobile i.e. radiation (Radio waves), can have impact on child’s growth/progress. If this impact exceeds beyond limit, it can harm sleeping manner. Sleep actually relaxes our brain. Improper sleep affects body by brain stress.
Excess Use of Phone & Tablet May Affect Social
Skill
According to a survey, As far as Indians are
considered, an average Indian is spending his 1/3rd of his/her
working hours on phone. An Indian spends over 1800 hours on cell phone, per
year and 3 out of 4 respondents said, if smartphone’s usage continues at this
rate, it is likely to impact their mental or physical health. This survey was
carried out by Cybermedia Research (CMR) with Chinese smartphone maker Vivo.
As far as Americans are concerned, people spend an
average of 6 hours & 31 minutes per day using internet on any device like
smartphone, tablet or laptop. This was published & researched by

Such usage of smartphones or tablet can distract you
during conversations with friends & family. It can put wedge in your
relations. Smartphone, Social media & Technological interactions are
ruining our generation’s face to face communication skills. Findings showed
that, there is a correlation between social anxieties of face to face
interaction which increases with the amount of online interaction one
participates in.
New study by researchers at Kent State University
shows that, cell phones usage might actually lead to feeling less socially connected.
I feel like, cell phones should have warning labels
about how we should use them responsibly. Indeed, it sounds like common sense,
but today’s generation needs that.
Very nice and informative .
